We also finished making all our reservations for hostels and bed and breakfasts. I'm so excited to see all the different places we're going to stay. We leave in about 10 days!

More train tickets
Last week we spent almost an hour on the phone with the Eurail staff making all of our train reservations. It's a relief to know that we definitely have a seat on each train. It cost us another $700 for all the reservations. A big chunk of that was our $300 sleeper car. Unfortunately, the night train offers cheaper beds for only single-sex compartments. So Daniel and I would have been in separate cars all night long and that would have saved us about $100. This way we have a private compartment and we don't have to worry about our things getting stolen while we're sleeping. And because it's a first class ticket, we get breakfast and a newspaper in the morning, and access to the VIP lounge. How exciting! We made 10 reservations total. In the mail we got this whole book of paper tickets. It's so scary that we have to keep track of all of these. Most of the reservations were under $40 for both of us, so I didn't want to buy $18 of insurance. But for the sleeper car, I did get insurance.

I'm so excited for both of you; this will be a trip that you will remember for ever! It will be life chaging.
... and make sure you change your chaging often.
